Television Information
Georgia Tech Housing provides over 100 cable television channels (including 7 HBO's, 22 different language
channels and 7 Georgia Tech channels) to the residence hall system. The channel listing can be accessed at
GTCN. This premium cable TV service is provided in your housing unit when you move in.
In traditional/suite/apartment halls, there is a cable TV outlet in every bedroom. In apartments, there is also an
outlet in the living room. RG6 quad shield cables for connecting your TV to the wall jack are available in the
Technology Center of Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech.
Televisions are provided in some common area lounges throughout the residence halls. To take advantage of the over
100 channels in your room, a television is required. ResNet also recommends purchasing a high quality RG6 quad shield
cable from the Technology Center of Barnes & Noble @ Georgia Tech to receive the clearest picture possible.
Non-RG6 quad shield cables are the cause of most picture quality related service calls.
